Growing by 6.6 points from their previous performance, the Mira Costa Marching Band and Colorguard debuted a revised percussion feature for their show Let Them Eat Cake amidst a packed field of competitors at the Western Bands Association So Cal Super Show this past Saturday. The crowd went wild as the new guillotine dropped with the closing bars.
With a similar strategy of revision last year and a similar score at this point in the season, in 2021 the Mustangs grew 12 points from their second show to their last. Can history repeat? Only time will tell. In the final weeks of the season the Mustangs will look to capitalize on their revisions, clarify their performance and add the closing movement. It will truly be the icing on the cake!
