MCHS Band supporting Hermosa Beach School District!

Our band students were so fortunate to be asked by the Hermosa Beach School District to come out and perform for their ribbon-cutting ceremony to open up their new Hermosa View Campus. The student musicians were able to perform for the crowd and spend some time on this amazing new campus. Thank you, Hermosa Beach School District, for having us!

Hermosa Beach school district and city officials celebrated the opening of a revamped campus with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Hermosa View officially opened to those in transitional kindergarten to second-grade on Sept. 6 — the start of the academic year — with the ribbon cutting on Wednesday, Oct. 26, celebrating the culmination of a sweeping modernization effort. That effort, thanks to a $59 million general obligation bond, which voters approved via Measure S in 2016, built Hermosa Vista, helped upgrade Hermosa Valley — and reimagined Hermosa View.

Hermosa View’s $23.3 million construction costs included adding a two-story administration building that features offices and a library on the first floor and classrooms on the second floor; two kindergarten buildings that replaced temporary bungalows; and a new interior courtyard and playground.
