Fantastic Performances at Competitive Field Shows

November 2014 – The Marching Band and Colorguard put on a fabulous show on November 22 at the SCSBOA 4A Championships, climbing from 7th place to a 4th place finish!  What a great marching band season we’ve had this year! After their performance, the seniors were recognized with a special performance by the underclassmen at the “Legacy Arc”.  There was much hugging, laughter, and tears as seniors expressed their appreciation to their fellow section members.

November 2014 – The Marching Band and Colorguard won the 4A category of the Savanna High School Field Show on 11/15/14. There were 8 marching bands in the 4A category and we came in first place with a score of 85.9 (perfect is a score of 100).  Our band is now well-positioned for the SCSBOA Field Show Championship competition next Saturday, November 22nd at Warren High School.

September 2014
 – The Marching Band and Colorguard had a fantastic first field show at the West High School South Bay Invitational Field Show. Band placed 2nd in our 4A category with a score of 73.6; Percussionists came in 2nd with a score of 69; and Colorguard waw FIRST with a score of 68.5. Mira Costa High School had the 3rd highest overall band score of the entire field show. Congratulations to our students — their hard work definitely paid off!  Thanks to the many volunteers who transported and pushed equipment all around the field show site, made sure our kids were properly attired, and made sure our kids stayed safe.
