November 2015 – 1st in 4A Division
At the Savanna Tournament this year, the Mira Costa Marching Band and Colorguard took 1st place in a large 4A division with a season high score of 87.4!
November 2015 – Sweepstakes at Oxnard Tournament!
The Mira Costa Marching Band and Colorguard was crowned Champion of the Oxnard Tournament with a score of 84.4, netting them the Overall Sweepstakes, as well as the Visual Performance Sweepstakes, the Visual Effect Sweepstakes, the Music Effect Sweepstakes, and the Music Performance Sweepstakes! The Oxnard line up featured 22 other bands in competition and this is the first non-South Bay full tournament Sweepstakes Mira Costa has won in school history!
October 2015 – 1st in 4A Division
In their second of five field competitions this season, the Mira Costa High School Marching Band and Colorguard displayed extraordinary effort in performing their field show STRATOSPHERE ABOVE THE CLOUDS. They placed 1st in the 4A Division with a score of 78.5 (band) and 69.5 (auxiliary). Percussion placed 1st in Sweepstakes with a score of 76.5. Huge congratulations!! September 2015
The marching band and colorguard had a fantastic first field show at the South Bay Invitational Tournament at West High School on Saturday. We placed 1st in percussion (86.5 pts), 1st in auxiliary (69 pts) and 3rd in band (69.2 pts). Congratulations to our students! They should be so proud of their hard work!
